The Gold Coast Private is a $230 million Healthscope-operated hospital, which has become the new facility for Allamanda Private Hospital since March 2016.
The hospital is co-located with the Gold Coast University Hospital and Griffith University, forming a major part of the health and knowledge Precinct.
This brand new, state-of-the-art facility will open with 284 beds and 13 theatres and will expand to 400 and 21 respectively, in line with demand.
It includes a 24 hour emergency care centre, cardiac catheterisation lab and a hybrid theatre, intensive care, oncology, renal, maternity, paediatrics and special care nursery, and the site will be supported by providers of imaging, pharmacy and pathology services.
The staff at Gold Coast Private Hospital have developed a Building Excellence Program through a comprehensive partnership with the Studer Group. The Building Excellence Program and Studer partnership has created a foundation for Allamanda to transform our service and lead healthcare into the future.
Gold Coast Private has fast tracked stage two of the development (GCPH2) to meet patient demand. The $50 million expansion will increase capacity to 340 beds and 23 operating theatres, with 30 beds and six theatres to open immediately. The new stage will include a Day Surgery Unit, added surgical ward and expanded theatre floor.
